Andrey Chepelev enters the Como Challenger qualifying draw as a heavy favorite over Niccolo Ciavarella, driven by his extensive clay-court experience and stronger recent results at ITF and Challenger levels. The 28-year-old Russian left-hander holds a career clay record exceeding 500 wins and has secured multiple M25 titles in 2025-2026, posting consistent deep runs and solid return pressure in recent months. Ciavarella, a 22-year-old Italian ranked near 972, competes primarily at lower ITF events with a more limited win rate and fewer notable results on the surface. No prior head-to-head exists, but Chepelev’s edge in ranking, serve-return metrics, and overall match volume shapes trader consensus on the outcome in this clay-court qualifier.
