Arthur Fery enters the Winston-Salem Open semifinal as the clear favorite against James Duckworth, with traders pricing the higher-ranked Briton around 53-61% implied probability on the basis of recent momentum and ranking. The 24-year-old fourth seed, fresh off a career-best Wimbledon semifinal run and a climb toward a new career-high near No. 35-37, has posted strong hard-court results this summer while converting break opportunities efficiently. Duckworth, the 34-year-old Australian ranked No. 79, reached his first ATP semifinal of the season with resilient three-set wins but carries fatigue from late-night quarterfinal matches and faces a US Open first-round clash days later. Their head-to-head favors Fery in the most recent encounter at Cincinnati, though the veteran leads the series overall. Both players advanced via comebacks on outdoor hard courts, but Fery’s youth, serve consistency, and current form underpin the market’s assessment of his edge heading into the match.
