Chase Ferguson enters this M15 Maanshan 8 quarterfinal as the clear market favorite on the back of his superior ATP ranking near 640, greater experience at age 27, and a 2-0 head-to-head edge over 19-year-old Fumin Jiang in prior Maanshan hard-court meetings. Ferguson arrives with straight-set victories over Yua Taka and Hanyi Liu in this event, plus a solid recent hard-court record reflecting reliable second-serve and return pressure. Jiang, ranked near 1700, has posted mixed 2026 results with early exits in most events but notched wins here over Dong Ju Kim and Sun Qian; his youth and local familiarity offer limited upset potential against Ferguson's deeper match-play edge on indoor hard. Trader consensus reflects these gaps in form, ranking, and direct results.
