Ashley Lahey faces Romanian Stefania Bojica in the round of 16 at the ITF W15 Brasov on outdoor clay. Lahey, the higher-ranked American with a career-high singles mark near 317, enters after a straight-sets opening win and holds an edge in overall experience despite a modest 2026 record. Bojica, ranked in the 750-840 range, arrives with strong recent clay results—including multiple W15 and W35 wins in the Balkans this summer—and benefits from local support after defeating fellow Romanian Alexia-Shara Iancu 7-5, 6-1 in her opener. The matchup pits Lahey’s steadier baseline game against Bojica’s improving movement and aggression on the surface, with traders viewing the contest as competitive given Bojica’s form and home conditions.
