Apple's iPhone 18 Pro faces upward pricing pressure from sharply higher component costs, particularly DRAM, NAND flash, and TSMC's 2nm process for the A20 Pro chip, driven by AI-related demand. Apple CEO Tim Cook has described these increases as unavoidable, following substantial price hikes on recent Mac and iPad models. While earlier analyst forecasts from IDC, TechInsights, and others pointed to $200–$300 jumps that could push the starting price to $1,299–$1,399, more recent reporting from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman indicates Apple may limit the base model's increase to around $100—aligning with Samsung and Google's recent flagship adjustments—to $1,199. Higher storage configurations could absorb larger markups, and the September 2026 launch alongside a foldable model remains the key near-term catalyst for final pricing confirmation.

This market will resolve based on the pre-tax launch price in USD of the standard edition of the iPhone 18 Pro as listed on the official Apple Store website or Apple’s retail pricing in the United States on the first official day of its release.
If the price differs between configurations (e.g., base storage vs. higher storage), this market will resolve according to the lower price of the version that includes the full standard iPhone 18 Pro model with no additional features, accessories, or services (e.g., base storage capacity only).
If the iPhone 18 Pro is not released by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No".
The primary resolution source for this market will be the official Apple Store (online or retail pricing), however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
