With the incident now more than six weeks old and no public updates indicating completed reviews or prosecutorial decisions, traders assign 97.2% probability that charges will not be filed by August 31. Officer-involved shooting cases routinely require extended evidence analysis, witness interviews, and policy compliance assessments before any charging determination. Realistic scenarios that could still shift the outcome in the remaining days include an unusually rapid DOJ referral based on emerging footage or statements, or an expedited local-federal coordination yielding formal charges.
