**Liga MX's 2026-27 top goalscorer race remains wide open early in the Apertura, with trader consensus reflecting a deep pool of proven forwards and limited separation after the Clausura 2026.** João Pedro enters as a leading candidate following back-to-back Golden Boot honors, including 14 goals for Atlético San Luis, while Diber Cambindo brings consistent output at León alongside strong early contributions. Other contenders like Óscar Estupiñán, Juan Brunetta, Paulinho, and Gabriel Fernández carry comparable scoring pedigrees from recent campaigns, bolstered by favorable team attacking setups and schedule spots. The departure of prior standout Armando González to Europe further disperses the field, and with only a handful of matchdays completed, recent form, injury updates, and rotation decisions across Liga MX clubs keep implied probabilities tightly bunched among multiple realistic options.

If multiple players tie for the top goal scorer, this market will resolve to the tied player who scores fewer goals from penalty kicks during all phases of the 2026-27 Liga MX season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with the higher xG during all phases of the 2026-27 Liga MX season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player whose last name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026-27 Liga MX season is canceled or not completed by June 27, 2027, the market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official statistics from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
