**Early-season form in the Liga MX Apertura 2026 has produced a tightly bunched table after five matchdays, with Club América leading unbeaten on 13 points while Atlas, Toluca, Guadalajara, Puebla, and Tijuana sit within three points, driving trader consensus toward a wide-open race for second place.** Monterrey’s strong goal difference and attacking output, Chivas’ recent 5-2 win and four-match unbeaten run, and Atlas’ solid results position those sides prominently in the implied probabilities. Defending champions Cruz Azul have slipped to 12th after three straight losses, tempering their outlook despite pedigree. With Liguilla qualification and tiebreakers still fluid and no dominant side emerging, the competitive balance across multiple contenders keeps second-place probabilities closely grouped between roughly 9–13.5 percent.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
