The 2026-27 Eredivisie campaign, which opened in early August, determines 2027-28 UEFA Europa League access primarily through a third-place finish (second qualifying round) or KNVB Cup victory (league phase), following the Netherlands' drop to seventh in UEFA coefficients that eliminated a second direct Champions League berth. Pre-season projections from Opta and others positioned PSV as clear title favorites with squad continuity under Peter Bosz, while Feyenoord, Ajax, AZ Alkmaar, FC Twente, and NEC Nijmegen were viewed as the main challengers for top-four spots. Early fixtures show AZ atop the table after three wins, with PSV, Go Ahead Eagles, and Feyenoord close behind, underscoring the importance of sustained form, European fixture congestion for clubs like AZ, and the cup draw in shaping which sides secure the available Europa League places.

Resolution is based on the competition to which the listed team is allocated by the final 2026-27 Eredivisie standings, the 2026-27 domestic cup results, and the 2026-27 UEFA competition winners. A place obtained by playing and advancing through the UEFA qualifying rounds held after the domestic season does not count, and movement between competitions caused by those qualifying rounds has no bearing on resolution.
Once it becomes mathematically impossible for the listed team to earn a 2027-28 UEFA Europa League place by these routes, the associated market will immediately resolve to "No".
If the 2026-27 Eredivisie season is cancelled or postponed past May 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET such that the 2027-28 UEFA Europa League places cannot be determined, this market will resolve to "No".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from UEFA and/or the Eredivisie; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
