The 2026-27 Liga MX season opens with broad parity across most clubs' defensive setups, reflected in the tight clustering of implied probabilities near 37% for Tigres UANL, Atlas, León, Santos Laguna, Querétaro, FC Juárez, Atlético San Luis, Tijuana, and Atlante FC. Early Apertura results show América conceding the fewest goals per game while posting multiple clean sheets, yet its lower market price aligns with an attacking emphasis and schedule that could increase concessions over the full campaign of both short tournaments. Mid- and lower-table sides benefit from compact structures and fewer high-pressing opponents, while established clubs such as Cruz Azul, Toluca, Pachuca, Guadalajara, UNAM Pumas, and Monterrey sit lower amid expectations of more open play and fixture congestion. Roster turnover, new coaching influences, and the split-season format further flatten distinctions, keeping the most-clean-sheets outcome highly competitive with no single side holding a decisive edge.
