The 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign is only days old, leaving limited in-season data and forcing traders to price squads based on pre-season defensive metrics, summer transfers, and coaching continuity. Last season’s leaders PSG, Lens, and Lille posted the strongest records (29, 35, and 37 goals conceded), yet fresh reinforcements at Strasbourg, Nice, Paris FC, and several promoted or mid-table sides have narrowed perceived gaps in back-line organization and goalkeeper stability. With 18 clubs bunched between roughly 43.5 % and 45.5 %, the market reflects parity in expected clean-sheet volume across a long 34-match schedule where fixture difficulty, rotation demands from European commitments, and minor squad injuries can quickly shift outcomes. This tight clustering underscores the absence of any dominant defensive outlier at the outset.
