If the 2026-27 Ligue 2 season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there are no teams confirmed for promotion within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be official announcements from the Ligue 2 and Ligue 1. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Troyes dominated the 2025-26 Ligue 2 campaign to finish first with 67 points, securing automatic promotion through consistent results and a strong goal difference. Le Mans, newly promoted from the National, claimed the second automatic spot on 62 points with an impressive defensive record and late-season momentum that held off challengers. Saint-Étienne, despite heavy investment and a third-place finish on 60 points, advanced only to the promotion playoffs before falling to Ligue 1 side Nice. Key late developments included Le Mans receiving the awarded win in their interrupted final match against Bastia, while mid-table sides like Red Star and Rodez competed for playoff berths amid a tightly contested race decided by points, goal difference, and head-to-head records. The season concluded in May 2026 with official LFP confirmation of the promoted clubs.
