Federico Dimarco enters the 2026-27 Serie A campaign as the consensus leader in implied probability for most assists, reflecting his record-setting output from the prior season when he delivered 16-18 assists as Inter’s wing-back. Early matchday results show Paulo Dybala already on three assists for Roma, while Kevin De Bruyne contributed a goal and assist off the bench in Napoli’s opener under Max Allegri and Nico Paz continues to feature prominently for Como. The tightly bunched probabilities among Dimarco, Paz, Çalhanoğlu, Dybala, De Bruyne, De Ketelaere, Koopmeiners, Barella and others stem from the league’s depth of creative midfielders and full-backs, combined with the season’s infancy and typical variance in assist tallies across 38 rounds. No single player has established an insurmountable early lead, and factors such as fixture congestion, potential injuries, and team tactical shifts keep the race open among established playmakers and emerging talents.
