Andris Kulbergs holds the leading position in the market as the incumbent prime minister who formed a four-party coalition government in late May 2026 following Evika Siliņa's resignation amid disputes over drone incursions and defense policy. His United List alliance has advanced in recent polling ahead of the October 3 parliamentary election, benefiting from emphasis on border security, hybrid threat preparedness, budget stabilization, and election integrity. Other named candidates trail significantly, reflecting limited shifts in party standings or coalition negotiations in the short window before voters decide the composition of the next Saeima and subsequent government formation.
