The closely matched NFC West rivals enter the 2026 season with schedules featuring one home game apiece, fueling trader expectations of a split series result. The Seahawks, as defending Super Bowl champions under Mike Macdonald, return most of their elite defensive core despite offseason losses at offensive coordinator and running back, while the 49ers add receiver Mike Evans and benefit from a healthier roster featuring returning stars like Nick Bosa, George Kittle, and Fred Warner. Seattle has won the prior two regular-season series plus a 2025 playoff blowout, yet both clubs project as 10- or 11-win teams in a division also featuring the favored Rams. Early-season form, injury reports, and divisional positioning will shape adjustments to these implied probabilities.
