The San Francisco 49ers enter the 2026 season as the clear favorite in the NFC West with a deeper roster featuring returning stars like Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, and George Kittle alongside additions such as Mike Evans, giving them a substantial edge in talent and experience over the rebuilding Arizona Cardinals. Trader consensus reflects this gap through the 49ers' 61% implied probability to claim the season series, as Arizona's post-Kyler Murray transition under new head coach Mike LaFleur and questions at quarterback limit their ability to compete consistently in both matchups. A 31.5% chance of a split accounts for the 49ers' notable injury concerns early in camp, while the Cardinals' 4.6% odds to sweep highlight their projected struggles based on recent 3-14 performance and limited roster upgrades.
