If Carlos Ulberg is officially announced to fight any non-listed fighter or no qualifying announcement is made by April 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC.**Paulo Costa leads trader consensus at 53.8% for Carlos Ulberg’s next opponent, ahead of Magomed Ankalaev (44.5%), Jan Blachowicz (43.5%), and Bogdan Guskov (29.1%).** Ulberg captured the vacant light heavyweight title with a first-round knockout of Jiri Prochazka at UFC 327 in April 2026 but tore his ACL in the process and is expected to remain sidelined into 2027. In late July, after attending UFC Abu Dhabi where former champion Ankalaev stopped Guskov in the fifth round, Ulberg publicly outlined preferred booking paths on Instagram, proposing Ankalaev versus Prochazka and Costa versus Khalil Rountree Jr. as high-stakes eliminators to crown his first challenger. Costa, coming off an April win over Azamat Murzakanov and actively seeking opportunities at 205 pounds while finishing his contract, publicly responded to the comments and positioned himself as a viable title contender. Ankalaev’s dominant recent performance reinforced his standing as a top-ranked former champion, while Blachowicz’s experience as a prior titleholder and Guskov’s short-notice main-event appearance keep them in the mix amid the division’s fluid contender landscape. These developments, combined with the absence of any official Ulberg matchup announcement, underpin the current implied probabilities reflected in market pricing.
