Recent polling from Pew Research, the Yale Youth Poll, and Third Way consistently shows Democratic candidates leading Republicans by double-digit margins among registered and likely young male voters (ages 18-29) on the generic congressional ballot for the 2026 midterms. This edge stems from measurable shifts away from Republican support since 2024, including declining approval for the current administration among men ages 23-34, driven by economic pressures and policy outcomes. Surveys indicate higher Democratic preference among those most likely to turn out, with notable gains for Democrats in the past several months. The market's implied probabilities align with these patterns of voter intention among engaged young men, though lower overall turnout enthusiasm in the cohort could still influence final results.
