This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by WNBA rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 WNBA season is cancelled, postponed after October 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the Women’s National Basketball Association; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Gabby Williams leads the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year market at 51% implied probability as the primary perimeter stopper and steals leader for the Golden State Valkyries, who hold the league's top defensive rating and allow the fewest points per game. Her consistent elite matchups against top guards, high steal rate, and contributions to team disruption metrics have shifted trader consensus her way since the All-Star break. A'ja Wilson follows at 39.5% on the strength of her blocks, defensive rebounding, and interior anchor role for the Las Vegas Aces, building on multiple prior DPOY honors despite a slightly lower team defensive standing. Lower-probability outcomes such as Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, and Alanna Smith reflect solid individual production and rebounding but lack the same combination of individual impact and team-wide defensive dominance reflected in current pricing.
