Kimi Antonelli holds a commanding lead in the 2026 Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship with 242 points after 12 rounds, reflecting six victories, multiple poles, and strong Mercedes pace that has kept him ahead of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton on 183 points each. Recent results, including a second-place finish at the Dutch Grand Prix and a podium at the Hungarian Grand Prix, have maintained his advantage despite Lando Norris securing back-to-back wins that trimmed the gap slightly. The 59-point cushion to the nearest challengers, combined with Antonelli’s consistency across varied circuits, underpins the market’s heavy weighting toward the Mercedes driver, while Norris, Hamilton, and Russell remain the primary alternatives based on their recent podium threats and team strengths.
