**Multiple teams remain tightly bunched in the chase for second place behind runaway leaders Chengdu Rongcheng in the 2026 Chinese Super League.** With roughly 23–25 matches played per side and the season entering its final third, Beijing Guoan, Dalian Yingbo, Qingdao West Coast, Shandong Taishan, and Yunnan Yukun sit within a handful of points of one another after accounting for several point deductions across the league. Recent form has been inconsistent for most contenders, with frequent draws and narrow results keeping gaps minimal. Remaining fixtures, head-to-head results, and goal difference will likely decide the runner-up spot in a season already marked by high-scoring matches and defensive vulnerabilities. Trader consensus reflects this parity, pricing a wide group of clubs with comparable implied probabilities.
