**Republican control of both the U.S. Senate seat and governor’s office leads trader consensus at 64.5 percent, reflecting Kansas’s partisan leanings and recent primary outcomes.** Incumbent Republican Sen. Roger Marshall holds a consistent polling edge of roughly 4–5 points over Democrat Adam Hamilton in a state that favored the Republican presidential ticket by double digits in 2024, with forecasts rating the race Likely Republican. The open governorship, vacated by term-limited Democrat Laura Kelly, features Republican nominee Ty Masterson against Democrat Cindy Holscher; nonpartisan ratings place the contest in the Lean or Tilt Republican range following Masterson’s primary win. The 24 percent price on Democrats taking the governorship while Republicans retain the Senate aligns with the closer gubernatorial dynamics and the structural barriers for Democratic gains in statewide races. Markets assign low probability to a Democratic Senate upset or full sweep, consistent with the state’s electoral fundamentals and limited movement in recent surveys.

A candidate will be considered to represent a party by their ballot-listed affiliation or if they are the nominee of that party. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
If the results of these elections are not conclusively known by March 31, 2027, or if an independent or third-party candidate wins one of these elections, this market will resolve to "Other".
For purposes of this market, a "sweep" is when a party wins both races.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources have conclusively called the relevant Senate and Gubernatorial elections. If all three sources do not achieve consensus in calling the relevant races for this market, it will resolve based on the official certification.
