Several elite running backs enter 2026 with bell-cow workloads and strong offensive-line support, keeping the team rushing-yards-leader market tightly bunched around 20-25% implied probabilities for frontrunners like the Jets, Vikings, Raiders, Chargers, and Ravens. Jonathan Taylor (Colts), Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions), Bijan Robinson (Falcons), James Cook (Bills), and Derrick Henry (Ravens) top consensus projections with 1,200–1,500 rushing yards expected, reflecting high-volume roles behind top run-blocking units and favorable game scripts. Recent 2025 close calls—Cook edging Taylor by just 36 yards—plus offseason roster stability and minimal backfield competition sustain the parity reflected in trader pricing, where no single squad exceeds low-25% odds ahead of Week 1.
