The close implied probability for a split in the two regular-season matchups (Week 8 at Tampa, Week 16 in Atlanta) reflects the teams’ comparable projected records in the weak NFC South and their recent history of tight, low-margin results. Both clubs enter 2026 with quarterback questions—Atlanta’s Michael Penix Jr. recovering from an ACL tear amid competition with Tua Tagovailoa, versus Tampa’s established Baker Mayfield under new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson—while roster additions such as Kenneth Gainwell for the Buccaneers and continued reliance on Bijan Robinson for the Falcons balance out. Preseason results and divisional parity have kept trader consensus centered on the even split rather than a sweep by either side.
