Governor Abdullahi Sule’s August 2026 endorsement of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as his preferred successor, combined with Wadada’s decisive May 2026 APC primary victory, has consolidated party machinery and institutional support behind the frontrunner ahead of the 2027 Nasarawa gubernatorial contest. This succession alignment has elevated Wadada’s implied probability well above rivals. Opposition figures including Nuhu Angbazo, Emmanuel David Ombugadu, and Gbefwi Gaza Jonathan remain at single-digit or lower levels, reflecting limited statewide organization and the structural advantages of the ruling party ticket. Trader consensus incorporates ongoing reconciliation efforts within APC alongside scattered resistance from supporters of defeated aspirants, while the general election timeline leaves room for shifts tied to primary outcomes in other parties and campaign developments through 2027.

This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Nasarawa State gubernatorial election. Any interim, acting, or caretaker Governor will not qualify.
If the results are not known definitively by October 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".

If no candidate has been officially elected by the resolution deadline, this market will resolve to "Other".
This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results published by Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Nigerian government sources.
