**Patriots hold a clear edge in the 2026 Dolphins-Patriots season series.** New England enters with momentum from a 14-3 campaign and Super Bowl appearance behind quarterback Drake Maye, bolstered by offseason additions like wide receiver A.J. Brown and continuity under coach Mike Vrabel. Miami, by contrast, is undergoing a full rebuild with first-year head coach Jeff Hafley, a massive roster overhaul that included releasing Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle, and installing Malik Willis at quarterback amid one of the league’s highest dead-cap situations. The Dolphins’ defense remains a major liability, particularly against the run, while preseason results and injury issues along the linebacker group have underscored roster instability. The two matchups—one in Miami during Week 8 and the return game in New England in Week 18—feature a significant talent and organizational gap that shapes the current implied probabilities.
