Recent price softening in the Ascended Heroes set's premium variants drives trader consensus toward the Under at 67% implied probability. The #290 Special Illustration Rare holo currently sits at $668.24 after an 10.8% drop over the past 30 days, consistent with broader downward moves across Mega Dragonite ex printings amid rising supply as more product enters secondary markets. Modern chase cards like this often experience post-release corrections once initial hype fades and collector inventory stabilizes, with no major upcoming catalysts such as new set announcements or competitive play spikes expected before September 30 to reverse the trend. Historical patterns for illustration rares in similar expansions reinforce the market-implied odds for further softening in the near term.
