Its integration of Apple Intelligence features, solid everyday performance, and colorful designs have sustained demand despite a June price increase to $699 amid memory shortages. Apple continues active production, official sales pages, and refurbished availability into late August 2026, with no discontinuation signals. While earlier analyst speculation raised the possibility of dropping the base 256GB model due to margins, the line’s strategic value in expanding the ecosystem supports trader consensus that sales will continue. A successor with higher RAM is rumored for 2027, but the current model faces no evident barriers to remaining available.
