Rockstar Games' June 2026 pricing announcement established GTA 6's standard edition at $79.99 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with pre-orders opening immediately at that level and an Ultimate Edition at $99.99. This official reveal, months ahead of the November 19 launch, eliminated speculation of a $100+ base price that had built amid the game's record development costs and anticipation. Traders view the confirmed $80 tag—still a premium over the prior $70 AAA norm—as locking in the outcome, especially with physical editions using download codes and no signals of adjustments. While an improbable last-minute hike or market resolution hinging on the Ultimate Edition could theoretically shift sentiment, the locked-in structure and lack of industry pushback make such scenarios remote.
