Jaxon Smith-Njigba enters the 2026 NFL regular season as Seattle’s clear alpha wide receiver after leading the league with 1,793 yards and posting 10 receiving touchdowns in 2025 en route to Offensive Player of the Year honors and a Super Bowl title. With Sam Darnold returning at quarterback and a record contract extension secured, Smith-Njigba projects for a heavy target share in the new Brian Fleury offense, though added competition from Cooper Kupp, Rashid Shaheed, and tight end AJ Barner plus a revamped backfield featuring rookie Jadarian Price could spread red-zone looks. Early projections center around 7–9 touchdowns over 17 games, with his perimeter role and chemistry with Darnold supporting strong volume even if overall pass attempts shift.
