The even spread of implied probabilities around 50% reflects the high variance inherent in rushing touchdowns over a single NFL week, where red-zone opportunities, game scripts, and goal-line work determine outcomes more than overall volume. Recent injury developments have shifted workloads, including TreVeyon Henderson's ankle ruling him out and boosting Rhamondre Stevenson's share in New England's opener, while Chuba Hubbard cleared the hamstring report for Carolina. Projections highlight several backs like Jahmyr Gibbs, Saquon Barkley, Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry, and De'Von Achane with comparable touchdown upside in favorable matchups, but committees and defensive fronts keep any single leader far from assured. Trader consensus captures this uncertainty across the field rather than anointing one frontrunner.
