TreVeyon Henderson enters his second NFL season with the New England Patriots after a strong rookie campaign of 911 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns on 180 carries. An ankle injury sustained in late August practice has sidelined the 23-year-old for the Week 1 opener against the Seahawks, with no practice participation since the incident and an expected return no earlier than Week 2. Rhamondre Stevenson remains the lead back and primary early-down option, limiting Henderson’s initial volume in a shared backfield. Henderson’s explosiveness and efficiency from 2025 provide upside for goal-line work once healthy, though durability concerns and the Patriots’ offensive line and quarterback situation add uncertainty to his touchdown totals over the full 17-game schedule.
