This market will resolve in favor of the player that finishes Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the most Total QBR (ESPN's Total Quarterback Rating) among qualified players. To qualify, a player must meet ESPN's minimum threshold for Total QBR leaderboard eligibility. Only games designated by the NFL as Week 1 of the 2026-27 regular season count. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player with more qualifying dropbacks in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player with a higher traditional passer rating in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened or truncated for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available Total QBR data for completed games. If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it is unclear which player led the NFL in Total QBR among qualified players within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from ESPN; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 NFL Week 1 QBR race remains tightly contested across dozens of quarterbacks because single-game outcomes hinge on matchup-specific factors like opposing pass defenses, offensive line health, and scheme fit rather than preseason rankings. Numerous roster shifts—including Kyler Murray’s debut with the Vikings, Daniel Jones’ return in Indianapolis, Deshaun Watson starting in Cleveland, Tua Tagovailoa in Atlanta, and Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh—create uncertainty, while returning players such as Patrick Mahomes (post-ACL) and Michael Penix Jr. (knee) carry variable availability and rust risk. Favorable spots for efficient passers like Joe Burrow or Jalen Hurts are balanced by tougher assignments for others, and QBR’s emphasis on efficiency and situational play rewards variance over volume, keeping implied probabilities clustered near even money with no dominant consensus favorite.
