Recent weekly averages for ABC World News Tonight with David Muir have stabilized near 8.4–8.5 million total viewers, positioning the 8.5m–9m bracket as the market frontrunner at 45% implied probability. A routine news cycle featuring international developments like the Niger coup attempt and ongoing Ukraine coverage has driven modest day-to-day fluctuations rather than major spikes, consistent with the program's dominant position in the evening news slot. Occasional standout episodes, such as the 9.063 million reached earlier in August, support the secondary 10m+ and 9m–9.5m brackets at 27.5% and 27%, while lower ranges reflect the low likelihood of a quiet stretch pulling the highest episode below 8 million. Nielsen's Thursday chart update for the full week remains the key resolution catalyst.
