This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump or the Trump administration announces a new White House Press Secretary to replace Karoline Leavitt between market creation and the specified date at 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". An individual announced as an acting or interim Press Secretary will not qualify toward this market's resolution. Any qualifying announcement made within this market's time frame will count, regardless of when the new Press Secretary is sworn in or begins serving. This market's primary resolution source will be official information from the Trump administration; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Karoline Leavitt completed her final day as White House press secretary on August 27, 2026, after President Trump announced her departure on August 12 to focus on family following the birth of her second child. She will serve as an outside adviser. No successor has been named, and Trump has stated he will continue serving as his own primary spokesperson while top officials rotate through briefings on an interim basis, as occurred during Leavitt’s earlier maternity leave. Multiple candidates have been discussed publicly, including Scott Jennings, Anna Kelly, and Margo Martin, with Trump noting a large volume of applications but signaling no immediate timeline pressure ahead of the November midterms. This combination of confirmed vacancy, interim measures, and lack of urgency shapes trader views on announcement timing.
