This market will resolve according to the age of the individual who formally wins and accepts the 2028 nomination of the Democratic Party for U.S. president. The individual's age will be calculated on the day on which they accept the nomination. A person will be considered to have advanced from one age to the next immediately upon the beginning of the calendar day of their day of birth. In the event that no individual has won and accepted such nomination by November 7, 2028, this market will resolve to the lowest listed bracket. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market. The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democratic Party sources and official public records; however, a consensus of credible sources may suffice. Trader consensus assigns the highest implied probability (47%) to a 2028 Democratic nominee aged 55-64, reflecting the prominence of figures such as Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris, whose ages fall in this range and who continue to shape early positioning. Strong support for under-45 (28.5%) and 45-54 (28%) brackets stems from rising profiles of younger contenders including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jon Ossoff, and Pete Buttigieg, amid ongoing party discussion of generational turnover after recent cycles. Recent statements, including Newsom indicating he would defer if Harris seeks the nomination again, have not materially altered the age distribution of viable options. The wide-open field and mix of governors and senators across these cohorts sustain the current pricing ahead of formal declarations.
