Flavio Bolsonaro holds a commanding lead in Santa Catarina voter intentions for the October 4 first round, reflecting the state’s consistent conservative alignment and strong regional backing for the Liberal Party candidate and Bolsonarism. Recent Quaest polling from late August showed him at 45% against Lula’s 20%, with all other names in single digits, underscoring limited fragmentation among right-leaning voters and weak penetration by national challengers. Santa Catarina’s political dynamics, including alignment with the state’s current governor, have sustained this advantage through the campaign’s opening phase. Trader consensus prices this outcome highly, though shifts among the roughly 21% undecided or blank/null respondents or late national developments could still narrow the margin before election day.
