Recent polls show AfD leading with around 36% and SPD in second near 29%, leaving Die Linke at 11-12% and CDU at 9-10% as the primary contenders for third place in the September 20 Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landtag election. This positioning has remained stable across INSA and Infratest dimap surveys through August, with Linke holding a consistent but narrow edge over the CDU. BSW sits near the 5% threshold at 4% and shows limited upward momentum, while Grüne and FDP trail further behind. The tight Linke-CDU contest for third reflects limited movement in voter preferences during the final campaign weeks, though shifts in turnout among left-leaning or centrist blocs, late issue salience around economic or migration topics, or differential mobilization could still alter the ordering before election night.
