The six-hour Netflix exclusivity window for Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, followed by its YouTube upload on August 27, has sharply limited day-one reach compared to prior trailers. The 27-minute PS5 gameplay presentation, focused on Leonida atmosphere and dual protagonists Jason and Lucia rather than short hype cuts, drives slower consumption and lower virality, with early YouTube figures hovering around 6 million views. This structural barrier, absent the all-platforms surge seen in Trailer 2’s record launch, underpins trader consensus for under 40 million total views. An upset into higher brackets would require an unprecedented late surge through widespread sharing or additional promotion, which contradicts patterns for extended game reveals.
