This market will resolve to "Yes" if the next Serbian parliamentary election is officially scheduled between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." This market is about whether a date for the next Serbian parliamentary election is formally announced within the stated timeframe. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Serbia, however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.President Aleksandar Vučić’s public commitments have anchored trader expectations that Serbia’s next parliamentary election will occur well before the scheduled December 2027 date. In late June 2026 he announced his imminent resignation and the holding of early parliamentary and presidential votes amid sustained student-led protests that began after the November 2024 Novi Sad railway canopy collapse. On 20 August he specified snap parliamentary elections for either 18 or 25 October 2026, the first concrete timeline provided. These statements, echoed by senior officials and reflected in an OSCE/ODIHR needs-assessment report, align with Serbia’s recent pattern of frequent early elections and give the ruling Serbian Progressive Party organizational control over timing. With the dissolution authority resting with the president and the proposed date only weeks away, the 89.5 % implied probability for a pre-2027 vote reflects the alignment between official declarations and the constitutional mechanism for calling snap elections.
