The top four candidates in this election by number of votes won will advance to the general election for Governor of Alaska. This market will resolve to “Yes” If the listed candidate advances from the primary to the general election for Governor of Alaska. Otherwise this market will resolve to “No”. If no 2026 Alaska gubernatorial primary takes place, this market will resolve to “No.” This market will resolve based on the results of the primary election for Governor of Alaska as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Alaska, specifically the State of Alaska Division of Elections.Alaska’s August 18 open primary featured 17 candidates replacing term-limited Governor Mike Dunleavy, with voters selecting one name and the top four advancing to a November ranked-choice general election regardless of party. Early and updated tallies through late August showed Democrats Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins and Tom Begich leading at roughly 22% and 20.5%, followed by Republicans Bernadette Wilson near 10% and Dave Bronson near 8%, with Treg Taylor fifth at about 7.4%. Republicans split their vote across more than a dozen contenders while the two Democrats consolidated support. On August 29, Begich withdrew and endorsed Kreiss-Tomkins, shifting the likely fourth spot to Taylor or another Republican depending on final certification and any additional withdrawals by the August 31 deadline.
