Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Michoacán on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Michoacán gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Michoacán and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Michoacán and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.**Michoacán’s 2027 gubernatorial race remains fluid in the pre-nomination phase ahead of the June 6, 2027, vote, with trader prices reflecting a tight contest between leading Morena figures and independent challenger Grecia Quiroz.** Multiple June–July 2026 surveys show Morena holding a clear party-level edge (roughly 36–43 percent), driven by its governing position under Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, while opposition parties trail. Within Morena’s internal process, Carlos Torres Piña consistently leads registered aspirants (often 19–38 percent), ahead of Fabiola Alanís Sámano and Raúl Morón Orozco, following the registration of 11 candidates for the party’s coordination role. Head-to-head scenarios highlight the race’s competitiveness: Quiroz, Uruapan mayor and widow of assassinated mayor Carlos Manzo, draws 20–31 percent as an independent or Movimiento del Sombrero figure, closing the gap with Morena nominees and capitalizing on public concern over insecurity—the top voter issue. PAN’s Alfonso Martínez Alcázar and other opposition profiles poll further back. This produces clustered mid-30s pricing for the top contenders and lower shares for the rest, as nominations, potential coalitions, and any independent ballot access rulings remain unresolved. Further internal Morena surveys, formal candidate selections, or shifts in security-related polling could widen gaps in the coming months.
