Recent polls from late August position incumbent Senator Veneziano Vital do Rêgo (MDB) as the consensus choice for second place behind João Azevêdo (PSB) in Paraíba’s October 4 Senate contest, where voters select two candidates. Azevêdo leads consolidated intentions at 27-29 percent while Veneziano trails at 17-23 percent, ahead of Nabor Wanderley (9 percent), Marcelo Queiroga (6 percent), and smaller shares for Major Fábio, André Gadelha, and others. High undecided and blank/null rates (around 15-23 percent), combined with the dual-vote system and fragmented field, sustain uncertainty over final ordering. Trader pricing reflects these survey trends alongside coalition dynamics and campaign momentum in the weeks before voting.
