Recent polls from late August 2026 place the CDU at 22–23% ahead of the September 6 Landtag election, with Infratest dimap showing 22% and Forschungsgruppe Wahlen at 23%. This reflects a continued decline from the party’s 37.1% result in 2021 amid AfD gains to 40–42%. Roughly 11% of voters remain undecided, and smaller parties hover near the 5% threshold, adding volatility to final seat shares. CDU Ministerpräsident Sven Schulze retains stronger personal ratings than AfD challenger Ulrich Siegmund, yet coalition constraints and broader dissatisfaction with the incumbent CDU-SPD-FDP government have limited recovery. Traders price the narrow “Under 23%” edge as reflecting this polling stability and limited time for late shifts before election day.

Over
This market will resolve to “Over” if CDU wins at least 23% of all valid second votes (Zweitstimme) in the specified election.
This market will resolve to “Under” if CDU wins less than 23% of all valid second votes (Zweitstimme) in the specified election.
This market will resolve solely based on the percentage of valid second votes (Zweitstimme) won by the specified party, defined as the number of valid second votes won by the specified party divided by the total number of valid second votes in the specified election.
