Recent polling in late August 2026 shows Vänsterpartiet holding steady near 7.5 percent while Centerpartiet has declined to around 6 percent in surveys such as Indikator Opinion, widening the gap between the two smaller opposition parties ahead of the September 13 parliamentary election. The broader centre-left bloc retains a modest lead over the Tidö government and its Sweden Democrats ally, though that margin has narrowed since June. Campaign focus on economic pressures, security, and energy has not produced major shifts specifically between V and C, leaving current vote-share differentials as the primary driver of the 59.5 percent implied probability that Vänsterpartiet receives more votes. Traders appear to view the late-campaign polling trend as the most reliable signal given the short time remaining.
