Recent Swedish polling shows Vänsterpartiet and Miljöpartiet in a tight contest for support within the centre-left opposition bloc ahead of the September 13 parliamentary election, with V at roughly 7.4-7.6% and MP at 6.5-7.5% in surveys from Indikator Opinion, Novus, and others. The race reflects shifting voter priorities on welfare expansion, climate policy, and economic pressures, alongside modest bloc-level tightening as the governing Tidö parties gain ground. Low overall margins for both parties, combined with undecided voters and potential turnout differences among progressive bases, sustain the competitive balance. Late-campaign events, economic data releases, or targeted messaging on immigration and energy could shift relative shares before ballots close.
