Google’s Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni Flash models lead most independent text-to-video arenas as of late August 2026, with top or near-top Elo scores on Artificial Analysis and similar benchmarks for prompt adherence, native synchronized audio, 4K output, and temporal consistency. This performance edge, combined with tight integration into Gemini and Flow tools, drives the 65.5% market-implied probability for Google. Chinese competitors such as ByteDance’s Seedance series and Kuaishou’s Kling 3.0 remain strong in motion, multi-shot generation, and value, yet trail Google on several aggregate leaderboards. OpenAI’s Sora 2 faces near-zero odds after its app shutdown and September 2026 API retirement. Traders are watching for any late-September or October model updates or new arena results that could narrow the gap before the end-of-October resolution.
