United Russia enters the September 18–20, 2026, State Duma elections as the dominant incumbent with extensive administrative resources, a mixed electoral system favoring party-list and single-member district control, and limited genuine opposition participation after the Supreme Court disqualified Yabloko’s federal list in mid-August. State-affiliated polls from VCIOM and FOM show the party holding a wide lead, consistent with its retention of a constitutional majority in recent regional votes. Preparations including candidate primaries, inclusion of war veterans on lists, and a national program focused on wages and infrastructure reinforce its positioning. These factors align trader consensus around United Russia securing the most seats, while New People ranks as the clearest alternative among registered parties amid reduced competition.
