Recent polls for Berlin’s September 20 state election show CDU and AfD running neck-and-neck in the mid-to-high teens, often behind or level with the Left, creating a tight contest for which party receives more votes. The CDU’s position reflects its role in the current coalition government and candidate Stefan Evers stepping in after Kai Wegner’s withdrawal, while AfD support has risen amid broader national trends on immigration and economic concerns. Late-campaign shifts in turnout, candidate visibility, or voter priorities on security and welfare issues could alter the narrow margin, as could any last-minute developments affecting mainstream party consolidation versus AfD mobilization. Trader pricing captures this uncertainty through real-money assessments of the remaining weeks.
