This market will resolve to "Yes" if NuScale announces that it will file for bankruptcy or has filed for bankruptcy of any variety by the listed date, 11:59 PM ET. An announcement will suffice for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of if or when the actual filing occurs. The announcement must be made through any of their official or verified channels, as a recorded or written statement by their CEO, legal representation, or other individual or team which officially represents NuScale. A definitive consensus of credible reporting may also be used.NuScale Power maintains a robust liquidity position with approximately $1.9 billion in cash, equivalents, and investments and zero debt as of mid-2026, following a $1 billion equity raise, which underpins trader views that near-term bankruptcy remains unlikely despite elevated cash burn from R&D and milestone payments. The company’s sole NRC-approved small modular reactor design and recent manufacturing milestones, such as boron-oxide pellets for passive safety systems, bolster its competitive edge in the SMR sector amid rising demand for reliable power. Key catalysts include progress toward a potential multi-gigawatt TVA agreement via partner ENTRA1 and the Romania project’s investment decision timeline, though execution risks, ongoing dilution, and the absence of binding revenue contracts sustain uncertainty around longer-term viability.
